I scheduled a repair for my emergency brake cable because it seized up. They did an inspection and said I needed new brakes. I was given an estimate for the repairs. I then decided to get the emergency brake repaired and not the main brakes, as I wanted get another opinion. I picked up the truck and I was charged for new rear brakes, that I specifically said, don't repair them. They told me they had to do the rear brakes to fix the emergency brake. I had another shop tell me that the emergency brake has it's own pads. I was not happy with what they did.

Usually, I am too busy to leave reviews, but these guys deserve one! Didn’t go to Joe’s by choice, but I am happy we found them. I broke down on a drive from lacrosse to Twin Cities and just happen to be near their shop when it happened. Ironically, there was a shop up the street that we hit first on the way to Joe’s (I won’t mention names )but the mechanic gave me an outlandish diagnosis by peeking at it quickly, but it was clear to me. He just didn’t want to tackle my issue! I am not a mechanic, but very mechanical and know the repair would have been a pain in the butt, but Joe’s still took it on and did it at a very reasonable price. This happened late in the day when they were nearing closing time, but John stayed past closing time until a ride of ours came to retrieve us. They did the repair on the following day and in a very timely manner so I could get back on the road again quickly. If I lived in Winona, these guys would probably be my number one mechanics! The guy that worked on my Ford F150 was a master mechanic at Ford prior to working here at Joe’s so if I have problems with my truck again, I may possibly even take the one and a half hour drive down there to have them work on it! As most people probably know it is very difficult to find a good mechanic!
